Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has ordered the indefinite suspension of the Managing Director of the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited, BIPC, Mr Alex Adum over alleged financial impropriety.
The suspension of the Managing Director, a former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State in the last administration was conveyed in a statement dated September 25, 2022 by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Prof. Anthony Ijohor, made available to newsmen in Makurdi.
The statement read, Governor Samuel Ortom has approved the indefinite suspension of Alex Ter Adum, from office as Managing Director/CEO of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited pending the determination of cases of financial impropriety levelled against him.
“The suspension is with immediate effect.
He has therefore been directed to handover to the General Manager, Corporate Services/Company Secretary, Benue Investment and Property Company Limited.”
It would be recalled that Mr Adum had last Friday appeared before the Public Accounts Committee of the Benue State House of Assembly in Makurdi.
