Obi vs Tinubu: PEPC admits INEC Form EC8C, result sheets for 13 States as exhibits
Proceedings adjourned to Thursday June 8 for continuation of hearing

The Presidential Election Petition Court PEPC on Wednesday admitted Form EC8C as exhibits from the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, the result sheets of Local Government Areas for 13 states in efforts to quash the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Counsel to the petitioner, Prof. Paul Ananaba, SAN, who led the proceedings on behalf of the lead counsel, Dr Livy Uzoukwu, SAN, prayed the court to admit the evidence tendered as having been read.
Earlier in the proceedings, the petitioners had tendered a certified True copies of INEC Form EC8B from four Local Government Areas of Kaduna, and 12 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi.
However, the winner of the election, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that conducted the election hinted the Court of their intentions to object to the admittance of Form EC8C and EC8B at the final stage of address.
Justice Haruna Tsammani accordingly admitted the evidence and marked them as exhibits.
The PEPC also admitted Certified true copies of INEC form EC8D for 36 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The INEC Form EC8D (INEC result sheet of State) in respect of 36 states and FCT were admitted and marked as exhibit - PD1-37.
The petitioners also tendered Form EC8D (A) being the national results without the objection from the respondents.
Consequently, the panel headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani adjourned to Thursday June 8 for continuation of hearing.
