New Police Commissioner assumes duty in Kebbi for Saturday's elections
Warns political thugs, miscreants, trouble makers, other criminal elements that it is no longer business as usual

A new Commissioner of of Police, Mr. Lawal Abubakar, has assumed duty in Kebbi State to oversee the Governorship elections in the state.
This was confirmed by State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kebbi State Police command, SP Nafiu Abubakar, in a statement made available to newsmen.
According to him, "The Kebbi State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that CP Lawal Abubakar fdc, has assumed duty as the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, for the 2023 Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly Elections.
"He warned political thugs, miscreants, trouble makers and other criminal elements that it is not business as usual. They should either leave the state or be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
"In the light of the above, the command is calling on the good people of the state to continue to support and cooperate with the Police and other relevant security agencies, in a bid to ensure a successful, free, fair, peaceful, credible and acceptable forthcoming 2023 Gubernatorial and State Assembly Elections in the state", he said.
