Many Injured In Benue PDP Campaign Convoy Accident

The campaign convoy of the Peoples Democratic Partying (PDP) in Benue State heading to Utonkon in Ado local government area of the State for the gubernatorial campaign, was involved in an accident on Friday with several persons sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, Nathaniel Ikyur, who was also in the motorcade, said three persons were badly injured in the accident, adding that a detailed statement on the incident will be soon be released to the public.

According to our information, the State legislators that were injured included the member representing Kwande West State constituency, Hon. Sugh Abanyi, and member representing Guma State constituency, Hon. William Ortyom.
They said the accident involved four vehicles in the campaign train, which include a bus, a Hilux and two jeeps.
State flash.com also gathered that the victims have been evacuated to an unnamed hospital in Igumale, the headquarters of Ado local government area for medical attention.
