Mammoth crowd as Tinubu/Shetima Integrity Group holds rally, drums support for APC in Kebbi

Supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi state on Monday trooped out in their hundreds to participate in a rally to drum up supportfort for the Presidential candidate of the party, Asuwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his running mate, Kashim Shettima and the Kebbi State Governorship candidate of the party, Dr. Nasir Idris.

The rally, which was organized by Tinubu Integrity Group, took place at Haliru Abdu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi, from where they marched through the major streets and terminated at the APC campaign office in Birnin Kebbi.

The rally drew participants from different youth associations, tribal unions such as Yoruba union in the state, women groups, religious associations that endorsed all APC candidates.

While speaking at the terminating point of the rally, the Coordinator, Tinubu/Shetima Integrity Group, Abubakar Sadiq-Fakai explained that, the essence of the rally was to seek the support of the electorate for APC in the forthcoming elections at all levels.

Fakai recalled that a similar event took place prior to 2015 general elections and it yielded positive results stressing that there is  need to repeat the same thing in 2023.

According to him, "APC had done a lot of good things for Nigerians both at the state and federal levels including creating job opportunities through different intervention programmes." 

In his speech, Alhaji Nura Kangiwa, Coordinator, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN) in Kebbi State, urged the people of the state to come out en-mass to vote for APC to reciprocate many investment empowerment schemes which the Federal government under APC has been giving to the people of the state.

He said that the crowd of people that participated in the rally had demonstrated the acceptability of party's candidates at both state and the federal levels.

On his part, Mallam Yahaya Sarki, Special Adviser to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State on Media, urged people to massively vote for APC as a show of appreciation to the dividends of democracy being enjoyed across the state.

Sarki, who is also the Publicity Chairman, APC Presidential Campaign Council in the state, noted with satisfaction that the Bagudu led-administration has a track record in prudent management of the state resources.

He observed that support for Tinubu to become President and Dr Nasiru Idris to be Kebbi state Governor is a support for justice, peace and unity of the nation at large and Kebbi in particular.

Alhaji Nasiru Magaji, the Acting Chairman, APC Youths, Kebbi State, recalled that in 2015, Northwest had enjoyed the support of Southwest to produce Muhammadu Buhari as president, adding that, there is need for Northwest now to reciprocate the gesture.

 Magaji added that, support for APC is a support for continuation of oil exploration in the North, stressing that the Buhari led-administration was the first to explore and commence oil drilling in Northern Nigeria. 

  A women leader from Yoruba group, Hajia Nafsat Arisiola, urged the electorate in the state to vote for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima, as well as APC governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Nasir Idris in the forthcoming general elections.

 She explained that,Tinubu has done well as the former Governor of Lagos state, stressed that he is the best candidate for the President of Nigeria.
