Gunmen abduct medical doctor in Benue state

Gunmen have abducted Dr Alex Terkimbir Igyemwase in Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
Dr. Igyemwase is said to be the Medical Director of Hope and Maternity Hospital in Zakibiam.
Media reports quoted a family member who pleaded anonymity as saying the incident occurred around 8pm on Tuesday.
“He was abducted at his residence opposite NKST Secondary School Zaki Biam, alongside his son, who was later released unhurt,” the family member said.
The matter has been reported to the police, according to the Divisional Police Office in Ukum Local Government area.
