Federal High Court appoints nine new judges
..appointment to the bench of Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Gombe, others, to commence soon

The Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, on Friday, announced the appointment of nine new judges for the court, in addition to the earlier 15 judges recently approved.
Catherine Christopher, Assistant Director of Information of the court, in a statement, said the CJ in the exercise of his constitutional powers and consequent upon the approval by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) and Chairman, National Judicial Council (NJC), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, has appointed nine judges, separate from the pending exercise for the appointment of the 15 Judges earlier approved.
The statement added that the exercise for the consideration of candidates for possible appointment to the Bench of the Federal High Court with regards to Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Gombe, Ogun, and Oyo states would commence soon.
"In line with the NJC Guidelines and Procedural Rules for Appointment of Judicial Officers of Superior Courts, the Honourable Chief Judge, therefore,
invites Your Lordships, the Hon. Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice and the President Nigerian Bar Association to kindly nominate suitably qualified persons from the aforementioned States for appointment to the Federal High Court Bench.
"All recommendations are to reach the Chambers of the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court on or before 28 February 2023." The statement said
